Bob Rummer:
A Legacy

A notable influencer in MCM, Bob Rummer built hundreds of homes in Oregon and Washington between 1959 and 1975.

Sparked by his wife Phyllis’s influence and his inspiration for California developer Joseph Eichler, Rummer adapted design principles to suit the Pacific Northwest climate and lifestyle. He created homes that are highly sought after today for their unique style and functional design. His homes are affectionately referred to as “Rummers” by midcentury enthusiasts.

Today, Many of these homes are being renovated and increasing in value due to the care and preservation of existing homeowners.

“The people I’ve built for have been a lot of fun… I loved everything about it.”

Revitalizing ‘The Rummer’

Originally built in the 1960’s, Bob Rummer built hundreds of mid-century homes that have defined Pacific Northwest modernism.

These homes are known for distinctive design characterized by sleek lines, integration of nature, and signature features like floor-to-ceiling windows and central atriums.

Together, we are bridging the generational gap of designing and building new Rummer homes for today and the future. These homes will include the ingredients of the original Rummer homes and expand upon them with creativity in design, more spacious living areas, and building a lifestyle brand that transcends the status quo.
